The price reflects a $430 instant savings, bringing the price to $89 at time of sale. An additional $50 rebate drops the price to the advertised $39.99.

Radio Shack is promoting the Palm Centro at $79.99 (after rebates) starting tomorrow according to their online circular, a savings of $20 from the previous price point of $99.99. This is the lowest price we've seen on the Palm Centro. With recent news of Sprint losing over 683,000 wireless customers during the fourth quarter, perhaps the company is looking to capitilize on the success of the Centro while they have exclusivity.

Sprint Wireless started selling the Palm Centro on October 14th and had a 3-month exclusive on the device. Sprint has been very agressive with their ad campaigns that have helped the Centro to become a success. It's expected that Palm will announce a GSM Centro in the coming weeks, most likely headed for AT&T Wireless and possibly T-Mobile. The AT&T version of the Palm Centro could see the return of the popular Phone application, that is in some ways mimiced by the iPhone. Ideal for new smartphone owners, the improved phone interface allows for quick access to favorites, speed dials, call logs and applications.
