In this video, we take a look at using the Slingbox application on the Palm Centro allowing you to stream content from your home TV to your Centro.

If you are unfamiliar with the Slingbox, it is a device that connects to your set-top box, which can be a TiVo, DVR or standard cable box. The Slingbox is then connected to your home network allowing you to access your TV from any Mac, PC and some mobile devices. The Palm OS application retails for $29.95, but SlingMedia offers a 30-day trial. I was able to download OTA (over the air) by simply pointing my web browser to www.slingmedia.com and then selecting downloads. Installation takes only a few minutes. You'll need to enter the ID code and password which you can find on the desktop version of SlingPlayer.

If you currently own a Slingbox and Centro, this is a must-have application. As you'll note in the video demo, there are no buffering issues. Control can at times be a sluggish, but I didn't have any issues once I selected my program. In the video, I'm watching the NFL Network live via a DirecTV HR-20. The ideal setup for most would be to program your favorite channels, allowing quick and easy access from the Centro.
