I don't know anything about how it worked on the Moto Q, or Audacity, or Minitunes lol.

What I do know is I followed the instructions at FunForMobile.com and made my own ringtones in just a few minutes, then uploaded it to their site (you have to sign up for an account) and then sent them to my phone easily and they are also saved there to share with other people if I want.
