Default 8gb micro SDHC for Centro

FYI: For you shoppers, as of today (1/8/09), Newegg.com has an 8gb micro SDHC for $14 wl free shipping. I will try this for my new Centro, and hopefully won't have any problems wl it (i.e., according to this article), even though the spec limit for the Centro is 4 gb.

I just got one too.. but I haven't figured out how to copy my stuff from my 2g one to my new one. I thought it would be easy, but its not. I put the 2g in the card reader copied it to my windows xp desktop, put the new one in the card reader and copied it back. stuck it in the phone and no programs show up! Do you know how to do it?? I would appreciate assistance.

I'm not sure why that is. Here are some suggestions if you haven't tried them already:

1. Make sure the folder structure is the same.
2. Does the card to need to be formatted?
3. Try transferring some of the programs to your Centro's memory first from the 2g card, then transfer into the new 8g card. Maybe that'll establish a path or folder structure.
4. Otherwise, if it can't be solved, the last alternative would be to reinstall your programs to your new 8g card.

Hope one of these helps. Sorry these suggestions are rather basic and aren't a more direct solution. Hopefully, someone else will chime in.

Good luck.
