This is a discussion on bluetooth headset does not play music within the Centro Accessory category of our Palm Centro Forums; Sprint tells me that the bluetooth function only works with voice, not my music on my Centro. Is this correct?...

well, out of the box...headset or headphones?music through headset is kinda pointless, to me. you should check out softick audio gateway. this app will let you listen to music, and everything else, using bluetooth...

I can think of a good reason. I listen to audio books a lot and it would be nice to listen to it through my bluetooth. Being hard of hearing I don't like to cover my ears with headphones and with my BT headset I can listen in one ear and have some hearing in the other.

Softick offers a $20 software product that adds support for Bluetooth stereo audio (A2DP) to a Centro or Treo. Check the Softick or Handingo web sites for more info.

I was quite disappointed in the centro for not having this feature. My BT headset worked fine on my old phone for audio/talking. There's a program to buy to allow this as the poster above me stated but that's lame in my opinion (should work out of the box).
