You can get a real GPS with hot English lady included for less than $200. In a pinch, Google Maps is more than enough. |
I'm a palmOS newbie and I just got my Centro and it shows Google Maps - but when I invoke it, it wants to connect to the internet, which is
not free... I have a Nokia tablet and I installed free Maemo Mapper, which downloads maps, then I can work offline (saving $$$) - is some palmOS software like that available on the Centro? I have a Nokia LD-3W that provides GPS (I don't know if that's built into the Centro or not) location. I thought palmOS was sort of like Maemo in that lots of utilities are available...
I was also wondering if there's a way to access the internet (say, with a palm browser software) on the Centro through a bluetooth connection to my laptop, which has internet access. I don't want to shell out big bucks for the Verizon internet for my Centro.
THanks!
