Default Saving Apps to Card

Ok I traded my old phone with someone for this one and he couldn't find the cord for it. So my question is can I download apps onto my pc and then to my sd card? If so, how?

yes. you can hotsync them. you have to have a hot sync cord or you can download a program to turn your phone into a usb card and copy files over that way. either way that I know of requires the hot sync cable and your installation cd.....someone else might know of a different way: oh thought that said card as in sd card....you mean you don't have the hotsync cable?

An alternative to hotsync via the USB cable is hostsync via Bluetooth. But the hotsync cable is cheap. If you don't have the one that was originally packaged with the Centro, you can buy one from www.palm.com. The Palm TX hotsync cable is interchangeable with the Centro's.

If you have a utility like FileZ, you could use it to copy an application's ".prc" file from the card to the device, but I don't know if that is sufficient to install it.

I just tried the bluetooth hotsync. Works like a charm! I had bought a dongle bluetooth for my desktop months ago when I had a pocket pc cellphone. So I plugged it back in and had my Centro locate it. Im now able to sync using the HotSync software that came with my Centro and the bluetooth dongle I have plugged into my pc. I love this phone. There is just so much you can do with it. Im excited waiting on my new Jabra bluetooth headpiece I just ordered. I want to be able to listen to music with my bluetooth.
