1st synch - Palm Tx to Centro

Hello. Am new here. Purchased the Centro today from Radio Shack for $79.99 (no rebates to wait for, no data plan or text plan forced upon me, and a promise that I can return it within 30 days for a full refund).

My beloved Palm Tx got soaked at a Jimmy Buffett concert so I decided to give the Centro a try. I have several 3rd party apps (both freeware and purchased software); however, I don't want to give myself a headache by quickly and impatiently doing a hot synch. I'm guessing that I just need to look up all the apps and make sure that they are compatible with this OS.

Any other suggestions? Something you wish you knew or had been told prior to your first hot synch?
