Default Centro vs MotoQ9

Currently I have a MotoQ9c and I'm so tired of it. I've had numerous problems with this phone and Windows Mobile. I was going to get the Centro before this phone but my dad had read some bad reviews however I'm convinced nothing can be as bad as my motoq9. I use my phone for everything, have unlimited texting which I take advantage of, and use many downloaded programs. My motoq9 just can't seem to handle all of it. At the moment my dad and I are discussing him taking my phone and my mom and I getting Centros. I've read that the Palm OS is very reliable and fast (WM6 is outrageously slow). Is there anything I should know about the Centro before this switch is made? Is making this switch a bad idea? Thank you so much!

My worry is that I'm going to get the Centro and have just as many problems if not more. I use text messages to the max, I frequently use an instant messenger, need email for school, and I use my internet browser. Unfortunately I find too many problems doing all of these tasks with my moto q9.

I haven't run into any problems with the Centro except one annoyance with the text messages. You can't send more than 160 characters in a single text message. Most phones just send two messages. The Centro stops letting you type. It really sucks when you have just one more word to type in and have to figure out how to squeeze it in. If you're texting a lot, be aware of that.

I've heard a lto of people are having problems with the Q9s breaking. Is your only beef with Windows Mobile that it's slow? I hear really good things about the Mogul or Touch and they both have faster processors.
