Entering numbers after dialing

I have a palm centro. I often dial into a webex meeting and need to enter a long string of numbers to identify myself. I would like to get the phone to automatically send those numbers rather than me type them in each time. I tried placing the numbers after the phone number like so (1-8006692803x12345679#). The centro dials the number correctly but doesn't enter the 123456789# after the phone answers.

You need to allow the number you are calling to answer before the extra digits are dialed. From the manual:
Insert a pause when dialing a
number: Enter a comma ( , ) between
digits in a phone number to insert a
one-second pause. To add a two-second
pause, enter a p.

Thus your number (1-8006692803pp12345679#) would dial the number, wait four seconds for the number to answer then dial the extra digits. You may have to adjust the wait time to accomodate the answering device...
