Palm Centro First Look Video

October 11, 2007
By: Christopher Meinck

Here's our first look at the Palm Centro smartphone.

The Palm Centro is currently scheduled for a mid-October release at $99.99 (after a 2-year contract with a $25 data plan). The first thing I immediately noticed was the size. As you'll see in the video first look, when comparing to the Treo 700, Moto Q, Moto Q 9h and iPhone, the small size of the Palm Centro really impresses. There is nothing new with regards to software, but Palm has done a great job with the software bundle on the Centro. Palm has included GoogleMaps, Docs To Go for Office documents, a full version of PocketTunes, an integrated IM application and Sodoku. This is virtually the same software bundle you'd find on the higher priced Treo 755p.

Overall, it's a nice device and a step in the right direction for Palm. Check back for a full review.
