Overall a pleasure to use

I am a long-time former Treo user--and I most recently owned the blue 755p. Despite some people complaining about the size of the Treos, I like having a larger phone--I have big hands and I'd break any flip phone that was not ruggedized. I was also initially put off by the Centro's keyboard--but I tried it for about 20 minutes at a Sprint store, and I was really impressed how accurate I was...the learning curve really isn't that bad if you give it a chance. Also, I was attracted to the fact that in Jan, Palm released a VersaMail update for the Centro only, that allows Gmail to work properly--I'm big on email and texting, and I never got Gmail to work right on the 755p. Also it includes pTunes Deluxe, which would cost money to get Deluxe on the Treo. I'm also spoiled by a touch screen, so it's a must for me now. When I use my g/f's BlackJack I find myself tapping the non-touchscreen...oops. Habit. I like the form factor a bunch. The phone is nice and loud, like I've come to expect from Palm's products. A huge plus. Finally, the form factor is okay...which it had a grippy back, rather than the slippery plastic...it's only a matter of time before it takes a tumble...but I'm buying a screen protector just in case. This one does it all--and has some amazing features...so I'm happy going from a Treo to a Centro. |

Palm Centro

This is a great phone for the price. It is small but very user friendly. You would think the qwerty keyboard would be to tiny to type but it works great. All the software extras that are included are a big bonus. I bought a hard rubberized case to give the phone some weight and grip because it is a little slippery. The only negative I have is the battery drains if you use the web alot or are a heavy email user. Other than that you are not going to get a better bang for the buck!!! |

I absolutely love this phone!! I got in on Christmas Eve, and didn't even look at my gifts! I was floored at the amount of software that comes on this phone and it only costs $99! This was a great investment. They just came out with the pink on Jan. 14 and I called Sprint to see if I can exchange, and I can! So now I'm excited to have the phone I want in the color I want!!! |

Centro is awesome

I bought a palm centro after 2 years of using a regular cell phone and I am impressed. I like the fact that it has lots of software and features including music and tv.
Some things I didn't like: The stylus is very thin and flimsy, and phone calls are soft. Also, the battery doesn't last very long. Overall, I say the centro was a great decision for my first smart phone. |

I LOVE THIS GADGET !

All my friends have a Treo and brag about how they would use nothing else. Well I tried the Centro after years of using a flip phone. I love this little gadget! Its a video - camera, MP3 player, telephone, and tv all in one. I'm with sprint and have even subscribed to a tv network, and I watch tv on this little phone on my lunch hour everyday. The multimedia on this phone is great. I use yahoo, and AOL messenger and email, and have downloaded a few more games, and applications, and still have memory left for more. I would not trade my Centro for anything ! |

Centro is Great

I just bought a Palm Centro after years of using a Palm Vx. I had a standard flip-phone and resisted some of the former Palm phones until now. The Centro is slim and has MOST of the features I want. I wanted a phone, Palm PDA, Jump-drive, and iPod all in one device. I'm locked into Sprint, so the iPhone was not an option, nor does it provide the sync with outlook/Palm desktop. After looking at many devices, I finally settled on the Palm Centro, which allowed me to combine my phone, Palm Vx and jump drive. I guess its going to be a long time to replace the iPod. I am extremely satisfied with the Centro. The phone works great, the internet is fantastic, I can check my e-mail (I use AOL), and I sync with both Outlook at work and Palm at home. All in all, I love it! |

Centro excedes my expectations

Moved from a 600 to a 650 and thought I'd seen everything. Last week I tried a Mogul for a day and returned it. Got a Centro yesterday and find myself in gadget heaven again. PdaNet works great, the camera is a huge improvement, Sprint BC is not supported but seems to work fine. I'm having a hard time prying it from my hands. Haven't found a version of CardExport that works yet(two hard resets). I plan on modifying the cover of the sd slot to allow easier entry. |
