Sprint Wireless is the exclusive wireless carrier for the Palm Centro. Sprint representatives were on hand at Digital Life to join Palm for the announcement of the new Palm Centro. Sprint is committed to the new Centro smartphone and taking advantage of their exclusivity. If the device launches on October 14th (as expected), Sprint will have a 3-month advantage on other carriers such as AT&T and Verizon. There have already been leaked photos of a GSM Palm Centro, so expect a release from AT&T as early as January 14th.

The good news for prospective Palm Centro owners is the choice to have Sprint Wireless as the first carrier. Sprint is typically known among smartphone owners as having the lowest data rates. Plans start from $15. Be sure to check rebate information, as it has been speculated that a minimum $25 monthly data plan will be required to be eligible. Sprint plans on offering a host of features for your $25 monthly data charge including Sprint TV and more. Wireless providers charge upwards of $40 and more for similar services, making Sprint a value.
